Gallery Mormors Hus is located in beautiful surroundings in Hjelseng in Hamarøy municipality, about 1,4 kilometer from Oppeid. The building is an old house from 1850, and was rebuilt here in 1904.
The house has its own soul and history and now contains about 50 pictures made by the artist Dagfinn Bakke.
The framing of the pictures takes place at Galleri Dagfinn Bakke AS' workshop, located in Svolvær and run by Einar Bakke.
Dagfinn Bakke (born 1933) is a painter, illustrator and graphic artist.
He lives and works in the Lofoten Islands, north of the Arctic Circle in Northern Norway.
